Who am I?
Hey there!
I'm JC (stands for my initials and not some cool DJ name from my 20s). I'm a born and bred Brissy boy and currently live in sunny Brisbane, Queensland. I'm a 1971 model - makes me 51 years of age and love that I've lived the music and years that were the 70s and 80s!
I had a short stint living and working in Melbourne during 2019 and luckily escaped before Covid19 struck and locked down that amazing city. While I would have loved to have called Melbourne my new home, I missed the warm sunshine, carefree lifestyle and tank top wearing of Brisvegas. We're so lucky to live in an amazing location!
I enjoy training at gym and the body I've developed over the last 6 years is solely attributed to my single life after a relationship breakup in 2015. If you're into gym too, a gym mate would be cool!
I love travelling and aimed to get to 50 countries by the time I turned 50. Covid fucked that up and my country tally stands at 48.
Hopefully 2023 can change that!.
Why a website?
So I moved to Melbourne in 2019 with an aim to meet a guy I could fall in love with after having a pretty tumultuous breakup in 2015.
Sadly after meeting a few nice guys I came to realise that the dating game had changed significantly from when I first 'came out' as a gay man in 1993.
The shift from coffee and dinner dates, to 'fuck first, friends later' isn't a mantra I subscribe to. While this hasn't helped my cause in meeting a potential soulmate, I believe it's important to stand by your beliefs, maintain your integrity and morals.
So that's why I'm here. A website where I can express myself a little more than useless 'dating' apps like Grindr that focus on the 'right now'. That's why I'm trying something different.

My Travel Adventures
For someone that started out with a major fear of flying which was only made worse after the 9-11 terrorist attacks in 2001, I've managed to visit 48 countries and well and truly overcome my fear of flying.
In fact, I love flying and travelling and the cultural experiences which have enriched my life since I've travelled the world.
I would love to explore some new countries with that special someone. I'm wanting to spend time exploring countries like Croatia, Malta, Cyrpus, Israel and Egypt just to name a few.
My Goals
So, an amazing thing happened to me on 20 March 2023.
I was taking a leisurely walk, through New Farm Park in Brisbane and passed by a park seat where I noticed a beaming smile coming from a guy enjoying a coffee. I couldn't help but notice how handsome he was but continued on my way walked past him.
I walked maybe 50 meters and all of a sudden, the universe told me to go back. I did.
Arriving back at the seat, I asked if I could share the other end of the bench to which he replied 'sure'.
Three hours later after what seemed like 20 minutes, we exchanged phone numbers and promised to chat again as he was visiting from South Australia.
And chat again we did - our chats continued every day - morning noon and night for weeks. The spark between us even though only by video call was like nothing ever before.
He asked me to join him over the Easter long weekend and I did. This time together truly brought us together in a way I never imagined could be possible.
We are truly in love and are now officially a couple.
The moral of the story here is, always stand for what you believe in. Maintain your integrity, respect yourself and others and be the best version of yourself you can be.
Love finds a way and it has finally found me.
